Often called "moon jellyfish", it is very graceful. Due to its very low toxicity, it is the species most often seen in public aquariums.
Sting symptoms
Almost harmless. Slight tingling possible on very sensitive skin (face, children).
Identification
Translucent and whitish. Instantly recognizable by its 4 horseshoe-shaped (or 4-leaf clover) purplish or pinkish reproductive organs, clearly visible in the center of the umbrella.
Size
Umbrella: 25 to 40 cm
Habitat
Coastal, estuaries, calm waters and ports.
